Aaron Shealy joined Allstate Insurance Company on July 1, 2009. As an enthusiastic business person and salesman, I quickly grew an existing book of business that originated in Irmo. After the first year, I received the Honor Ring award, and was declared a Preferred Servicing Agent from Allstate.
Allstate was a perfect match for me after working for Love Automotive for 12 years. It gives me 3 basic challenges every day: To be a small business owner, make sales, and service Allstate customers. One challenge I faced coming from the car business to the insurance business is that, I can’t see, touch, or smell what I sell. At Love, we always had a new car or truck coming out that we had to study up on, and get exited about. However, with a new family, I can take the trade off of a shorter work day and being home on Saturdays. Just a few months ago, I was “agency of the month” for SC.
One of the biggest challenges as an Allstate Agent is staffing your agency with the right people, and I feel that I finally have a great staff. My customer service expert, Cynthia Griffin, stayed with the agency when I purchased it from Bill Mason. And believe me, she’s all of our customers’ best friend. When you call your agent’s office and are able to always talk to someone with tons of knowledge and answer any question in a timely manner, that goes a long way this day and time. I also have one of my good friends Chris Chapman who works part time while he gets his business degree from USC. Chris started on day 1 with me and learned the ropes very quickly. Being only 21, he can calm a hot situation faster than Cynthia and I. Finally, we hired Zach Welch this year as a sales producer. Zach is an expert at explaining the different insurance options and policy coverage’s to a customer.

One great thing about me is that I’m from this area, so it makes easier to build rapport with any local Irmo or Chapin client. I graduated from Chapin High School in 2000, one year after my wife Virginia. After that I attended Newberry College where I received a business degree. Now, we have a 2 year old boy named Ashley who keeps us busy anytime I’m away from the agency.
